About Janice Sutter

Specializing in Family Law Matters
I received my B.A. in English from Whitman College in 1962, earning honors in my major field. I received my Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington School of Law in 1989 and was admitted to the Washington State Bar Association in November of 1989.

I am a current member of the Washington State Bar Association and the King County Bar Association.

My office is conveniently located in the historic Pioneer Square section of Seattle, within an easy walk of the Seattle courthouse.

My practice currently consists of approximately 85% family law cases, divided between divorce and legal separation, paternity, modification of child support and parenting plans; 5% estate planning; 5% adoption; and 5% bankruptcy.

I have been trained CASA and Guardian ad Litem, and have been appointed by the court as CASA or Guardian ad Litem in complex parenting cases.

I will soon begin to offer mediation services, both separately and jointly with a mental health professional.
